Description

A spicy, savory one-skillet pasta made with garlic butter, tender steak bites, and creamy parmesan—perfect for a bold and comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or strip steak, cubed

  • 12 oz penne pasta

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 45 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • ½¾ cup grated parmesan

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup reserved pasta water

  • Optional: parsley, chili oil, or more cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain and set aside.

  2. Season and sear steak cubes in hot skillet for 2–3 mins per side. Remove and set aside.

  3. In same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic and chili flakes 1 minute.

  4. Add cooked pasta, parmesan, and some pasta water. Toss until creamy.

  5. Return steak and juices. Stir and warm through. Adjust seasoning.

  6. Serve garnished with herbs and extra parmesan.

Notes

Use fresh parmesan and sear steak in batches for best texture. Add cream for extra richness.
